Arthur Avenue Retail Market

We were visiting from OK and were so excited to get to see what people were calling "The real Little Italy". The market is pretty cool - lots of fresh vegetables, along with deli items, cured meats, pasta, cheeses, and more all direct from Italy. There were great italian lunch options and a place where people were hand rolling cigars. I so wish we were staying long enough to buy some produce!

My first time back to Arthur Avenue in years ! So it was an adventure. Of course do to COVID most restaurants have outside seating, some have a better setup than others. We stopped into Marrone's Cafe found a table in the back Socially distanced and ordered Cappuccino and a few pastries, then stoped into the market brought olives and some vegetables, then on to pickup some fresh from the oven olive bread which was absolutely delicious. Continued to shop around then back to our car because our meter time was almost up. That's the one problem trying to fine a parking space 🤨 not easy. With plans on going back soon we will plan ahead regarding parking.

My beautiful ladyfriends and I went to the Arthur Ave Retail Market to try out the new pastries that social media has been frenzying over. My ladyfriends were inspired from TikTok videos promoting Fritella. So, we all went to a store in the Arthur Ave Retail Market, the DUA Gourmet Market. We purchased the Fritella and additionally, I tasted the baklava. Yum. The store is lively, filled with energy and visited by cliques of people ranging from medical professionals to tourists. After I asked about a certain pastry, the lady cashier at DUA Gourmet Market was very friendly and updated to me when she can sell the Nutella Doughnuts - Fridays and Saturdays. She even gave me extra Fritella after engaging in a lively conversation about promoting our communities' businesses. I will go there on those days just to socialize and connect. It never hurts to have a chat and network. You may never know what opportunity awaits you in the near future. In-person opportunities can have much more familiarity than on a computer.
